Hyrox weights by division: every station weight and wall ball height (2026)

Every Hyrox weight by division: sled push and pull, farmers carry, sandbag lunge, plus wall ball weight and target height for Open, Pro, and Mixed Doubles. The complete 2026 reference.

1 May 2026

If you are walking into your first Hyrox race, the single most useful thing to know is exactly what you will be lifting and pushing on race day. The weights vary across divisions and the official rule book is not always the easiest place to find a clean reference. Here is the full set, as currently used at Hyrox events, with the wall ball target heights included.

Hyrox weights at a glance

The quick version for the most-searched stations, Men's Open and Women's Open. The full division breakdown, including Pro and Mixed Doubles, is in the sections below.

Sled Push (50m)125 kg total75 kg total
Sled Pull (50m)100 kg total65 kg total
Farmers Carry (200m)2 × 24 kg2 × 16 kg
Sandbag Lunges (100m)20 kg10 kg
Wall Balls (100 reps)9 kg to a 3 m target6 kg to a 2.7 m target

Sled Push (Station 2)

50m total push. The sled itself weighs about 50kg empty; weights are loaded on top. For how to push it without wrecking the run that follows, see the sled push technique guide.

  • Men's Open: 125 kg total
  • Women's Open: 75 kg total
  • Men's Pro: 200 kg total
  • Women's Pro: 125 kg total
  • Mixed Doubles: 125 kg total (uses Men's Open setup)

Sled Pull (Station 3)

50m total pull, hand-over-hand on a rope. The sled is set on a low-friction sled compared to the push. The sled pull technique guide covers how to pull it with your bodyweight instead of frying your grip for later.

  • Men's Open: 100 kg total
  • Women's Open: 65 kg total
  • Men's Pro: 150 kg total
  • Women's Pro: 100 kg total
  • Mixed Doubles: 100 kg total

Farmers Carry (Station 6)

200m total carry, two kettlebells. Grip is the limiter on this one; the farmers carry technique guide covers how to hold on unbroken.

  • Men's Open: 2 × 24 kg
  • Women's Open: 2 × 16 kg
  • Men's Pro: 2 × 32 kg
  • Women's Pro: 2 × 24 kg
  • Mixed Doubles: 2 × 24 kg

Sandbag Lunges (Station 7)

100m of walking lunges with a sandbag held across the upper back. The trailing knee must touch the ground on every rep. For pacing the most brutal station without blowing your quads, see the sandbag lunge technique guide.

  • Men's Open: 20 kg sandbag
  • Women's Open: 10 kg sandbag
  • Men's Pro: 30 kg sandbag
  • Women's Pro: 20 kg sandbag
  • Mixed Doubles: 20 kg sandbag

Wall Balls (Station 8)

The final station. All divisions do 100 reps; the ball weight and the target height both differ by division. The wall ball technique guide covers hitting depth and target under deep fatigue.

  • Men's Open / Pro: 100 reps × 9 kg ball to a 3 m (roughly 10 ft) target
  • Women's Open / Pro: 100 reps × 6 kg ball to a 2.7 m (roughly 9 ft) target
  • Mixed Doubles: 100 reps total, alternating between teammates (9 kg to 3 m for the male, 6 kg to 2.7 m for the female)

Wall ball target height

The height of the target is one of the most-asked questions and it is easy to miss in the rule book. Men throw the 9 kg ball to a target set at 3 metres (about 10 feet); women throw the 6 kg ball to a target at 2.7 metres (about 9 feet). The squat must hit full depth and the ball must hit the centre of the target for the rep to count, so practising to the exact height your division uses matters as much as the weight.

Common questions

What weight are the Hyrox wall balls?

Men throw a 9 kg ball and women throw a 6 kg ball, for 100 reps in every division (Open and Pro use the same wall ball weight). In Mixed Doubles the 100 reps are split between teammates, the man on 9 kg and the woman on 6 kg.

How high is the Hyrox wall ball target?

The target is 3 metres (about 10 feet) for men and 2.7 metres (about 9 feet) for women. The rep only counts if you hit full squat depth and the ball strikes the centre of the target at the right height, so train to your division's exact height.

What weight is the Hyrox sandbag?

The sandbag lunge weight is 20 kg for Men's Open, 10 kg for Women's Open, 30 kg for Men's Pro, and 20 kg for Women's Pro. Mixed Doubles uses the 20 kg sandbag. The carry distance is 100m of walking lunges in every division.

How heavy is the Hyrox sled push and sled pull?

The sled push is 125 kg total for Men's Open, 75 kg for Women's Open, 200 kg for Men's Pro, and 125 kg for Women's Pro, over 50m. The sled pull is lighter: 100 kg for Men's Open, 65 kg for Women's Open, 150 kg for Men's Pro, and 100 kg for Women's Pro, also over 50m. Both weights include the sled itself.

Is the sled the same weight at all venues?

The sled spec is identical at every official Hyrox event globally. Surface friction varies a bit (especially turf vs rubber), but the weight loaded is standardised.

Can I switch from Open to Pro?

Yes, you can register for Pro if you can handle the weights. There is no qualification, Pro is essentially "Open with heavier sleds, lunges, and carries". Most first-time athletes start in Open.

What about the Doubles weights?

Mixed Doubles uses the Men's Open setup for shared stations (sled, lunge, farmers carry) since teammates alternate. Wall balls are split 50/50 between the male (9 kg) and female (6 kg) teammate.

If you want a structured plan that takes these specific weights into account when programming your strength sessions, the Hyrox Race Planner generates a 12-week training block calibrated to your division, drilling each station at the exact weight you will face on race day.
