Do I need to connect my brokerage?
No: and that's the point. You enter positions manually: name, shares, cost price, current price. No API keys, no login access, no third-party data. Your holdings stay on your device.
How do I update current prices?
Each position has an inline price field on the Holdings tab. Tap the number, type the current price, and all calculations update instantly. You can update prices whenever you check the market.
What's the difference between cost price and current price?
Cost price (also called cost basis or average cost) is what you paid per share when you bought. Current price is today's market price. The P&L is: (current price − cost price) × shares. If you bought in multiple tranches, enter the weighted average cost.
Will my portfolio be saved?
Yes: all positions save automatically to your browser's localStorage. Blacknave subscribers get cross-device sync so your portfolio carries across devices.
Can I track multiple accounts or portfolios?
The tracker shows one consolidated portfolio. If you have separate accounts (e.g. ISA + SIPP, or Roth IRA + taxable), you can enter all positions together to see your total allocation: which is the most useful view for rebalancing decisions.
